Supporters are trying to make sense of Norwich City's bizarre 4-3 defeat at relegation-threatened Hull City.

The Canaries were in disarray only on and fortunate to only be 1-0 down to a Jackson Irvine strike, before a James Maddison hat-trick fired Daniel Farke's team 3-1 ahead, with two of the goals coming from the penalty spot.

Abel Hernandez rolled home a penalty for the hosts to make the score 3-2 at the break and then another to equalise just three minutes into the second half.

Outstanding Liverpool loanee Harry Wilson scored the winner in the 71st minute as City scrambled to try and defend a swift counter, earning the Tigers a vital three points.

It leaves Norwich 14th in the Championship table and 13 points adrift of the play-offs with 10 games remaining and moved Hull six points clear of the bottom three.

The Canaries are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Barnsley, who lost 3-1 at Middlesbrough today to sit just one place and two points above the relegation zone.
