Cameron Jerome hailed ever-green Wes Hoolahan for helping conjure Norwich City's first away win four months – with a chance to repeat the trick at Wigan on Tuesday night.
The striker's diving header from Hoolahan's pinpoint free-kick proved Saturday's defining moment in Cardiff, although victory owed just as much to dogged defensive resolve from Alex Neil's men that hinted they could yet turn their ailing Championship fortunes around.
'It feels like I'm in good form,' said Jerome, notching his ninth goal of the season and third in four games. 'Me and Wes have got a good little combination going. I think he's been the catalyst for quite a lot of my goals and I was pointing to him where to put the ball, he's put it there and I managed to get my head on it.
'It's great playing with Wes, it honestly is. He's tremendous. He's ever-green isn't he? He's 34 but fit as a fiddle and he sees things most people don't.

'We've got such a talented squad the manager could play anybody there and Nelson (Oliveira) is pushing me hard for competition as well. The manager has got so many options it's looking like we've got real strength in depth now, so it's pleasing.
'I had one or two other half-chances and the keeper made some great saves. Sometimes it can happen that you hit a purple patch, but the main thing is you keep doing your job for the team and we manage to get another three points.'
City head to relegation-threatened Wigan with 13 points from a possible 18 and hopes they have finally turned their corner in a tumultuous season.
'It's still to early to say if we have – come and ask me at the end of the month after we beat Ipswich,' beamed Jerome – before adding: 'I'm only joking!
'We've got another three or four games before I can say we're serious again. Obviously it's going to be difficult at Wigan. We've got to go there with a professional attitude. Then we've got a good couple of home games before a tasty one at the end of the month.'
