So when that vital goal went in the emotion poured out of every single one of the 2,000-plus Norwich fans who had made their way along the A140 for last Saturday's game.

And, as the main picture shows, the reaction from the fans was brilliantly captured on camera by Evening News Norwich City photographer Paul Chesterton.

Throughout the week the picture has been shared across social media and talked about as a perfect example of how passionate fans are about their club.

It shows scores of fans whipped into a frenzy by the goal and even a supporter dancing on the roof.

If you look a little more closely you might spot a current Norwich City player in amongst the celebrations – and a fan giving a steward a cheeky kiss.

Today, thanks to some help from City fans on social media, we can reveal some of the people in the picture – and their stories.

Amongst them is Liam Green –the Norwich City fan snapped kissing a steward in the far left-hand corner of the photo taken just after Lewis Grabban headed home the winning goal in Saturday's 1-0 defeat of Ipswich.

The 26-year-old, who works in a phone shop in Gentleman's Walk, said he was unaware the moment had been snapped until a few days afterwards. The father-of-three, who lives in Cromer, said: 'My brother told me quite a few people were talking about it.

'I've not been on social networking sites so I hadn't seen it myself.

'I've had lots of comments saying 'was that you snogging the steward?''

The lifelong fan, who has been going to matches for around 16 years, revealed he had been caught up in the celebrations at Portman Road.

'I can't really remember as it was just crazy all day,' he said. 'I was jumping up and down.

'The steward was trying to be professional but he was a Norwich fan as well. When we scored my emotions got me, I grabbed him and kissed him.'

He was in the upper tier of the Cobbold Stand for the match, and while he is not able to attend every match any more due to having young children, he made sure he did not miss the first derby match in three years.

'I could barely sleep the night before – I was like a little kid at Christmas,' he said 'About 30 of us went up on the train, all friends and family.

'Secretly we were worried about the result as it was a derby game, but then the best result happened.

'It was a really enjoyable day out.'
