Former Norwich City attacker Ian Henderson says he is 'over the moon' to have helped League Two Rochdale knock Leeds United out of the FA Cup.
The 28-year-old, originally from Thetford, was one of the stars of the FA Cup third round at the weekend, scoring an excellent volley to seal Dale's 2-0 victory against Leeds.
Henderson scored his fifth goal of the season to help Dale take one of the most notable scalps in the third round and was named as man of the match.
'We've put in a great performance today against a very good team in Leeds, but the boys have warranted the result through hard work, determination and fundamentally good football,' Henderson told Rochdale's official website.
'I'm over the moon and so happy for the team and the club as a whole. You train hard for all your professional career for moments like that and people will say did you mean it, of course I meant it because it went in.
'Fortunately through training and practising that kind of technique the ball came to me at that magic moment and the technique was correct and, bang, goal.'
Henderson has played 30 times for the Greater Manchester club since joining permanently in the summer, following a successful spell on loan from Colchester at the end of last season.

He had been thwarted by the Championship side's keeper Paddy Kenny with a 20-yard drive towards the end of the first half.
But Jason Pearce looped a header into the net soon after to give Dale a 1-0 lead at the break and Henderson secured his side's progress to the fourth round in the 84th minute, sending a controlled volley into the top corner of Kenny's goal.
He almost scored again minutes later when he unleashed an effort from 25 yards but Kenny was again there to brilliantly push Henderson's shot over the bar.
The victory has earned Dale another home tie in the fourth round, against the winner of the third-round replay between non-league Macclesfield Town or Championship side Sheffield Wednesday.
