Former Norwich City midfielder Andy Hughes has been appointed as a professional development coach at Bolton Wanderers.
The 36-year-old, who played 79 times and scored twice for City between July 2005 and August 2007, will work with Bolton's under-21 and academy sides.
He will also be registered as a player after making eight appearances for Charlton Athletic in the Championship last season.
Hughes, went on to play over 100 games for Leeds United after leaving Carrow Road, before a brief spell at Sunthorpe United. The former Reading man, who is originally from the north-west, had been at Charlton for three years before leaving the Addicks this summer.
