Former Norwich City academy goalkeeper Marcus Beauchamp has joined League Two club Newport County until the end of the season.
The 18-year-old was released by City this summer following four under-18 appearances last season, having been out injured for nine months with a serious knee injury until February.
Beauchamp won the 2014-15 Barclays Under-18s Premier League Save of the Season award but was not offered a professional contract by City at the end of his academy scholarship.
Newport boss Warren Feeney told his club's official website: 'I'm delighted that we have been able to sign Marcus. He is a player that comes from a good background in the game and his arrival will help the squad as a whole. Joe Day has been fantastic so far this season and the signing of Marcus will enhance the work they do with (keeper coach) James Bittner.'
