Midfielder Sam Kelly has made a new start with Everton after leaving Norwich City's academy.
The 18-year-old played his second reserve game for the Toffees in a 1-0 win over Sunderland. Kelly, born at Hinchingbrooke and the younger brother of former City professional Danny Kelly, joined Norwich as an under-14 after leaving Cambridge United.
The second-year scholar played nine reserve games and made 16 academy appearances for the Canaries this season before his exit from Colney. Last season he played 27 times for City Under-18s, scoring twice. He made his reserve team debut for Everton in a 6-3 win over Newcastle and has signed a professional contract at Goodison Park. City confirmed Kelly had left the club but made no further comment.
