Following Norwich City's EFL Cup upset at Goodison Park on Tuesday evening, we look back at some of the Canaries' greatest ever cup moments.
• 1959 FA Cup run
Arguably Norwich City's most famous FA Cup run came in 1959 when the Division Three South side defied expectations to beat Manchester United 3-0 at Carrow Road in the third round.
The squad battled on to reach the semi-finals where they were eventually beaten by Division One side Luton Town following a replay.
• 1962 League Cup victory
The Canaries won their first ever major trophy in 1962, under the guidance of Ron Ashman, when they beat Rochdale 4-0 over two legs.
Goals from Derrick Lythgoe, Bill Punton and Jimmy Hill were enough for the Division Two side to lift the trophy.
• 1967 victory over Manchester United
Norwich City were ranked outsiders when they took on Manchester United in the fourth round of the FA Cup at Old Trafford and a crowd of 63,000 came to see United stars including Bobby Charlton and George Best.
But after 90 minutes City were the stars of a show following their 2-1 win in one of the most dramatic cup upsets of the time.
• 1973 first Wembley Final
The Canaries reached their maiden Wembley final in 1973 in a League Cup campaign which saw them see off the likes of Leicester City, Arsenal and Chelsea.
But at the home of English football they fell to a 1-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur.
• 1985 Milk Cup victory
City won the League Cup for a second time in 1985 courtesy of a 1-0 victory over Sunderland. The match was decided by a goal which was struck by Asa Hartford and went off Black Cats defender Gordon Chisholm.
Their route to the final was challenging, having trailed to Ipswich 1-0 following the first leg of the semi-final at Portman Road before Steve Bruce scored a last gasp winner in the second leg at Carrow Road.
• Eight goal victory in 1989 FA Cup run
Norwich City reached the semi-final of the FA Cup after impressive performances against Sheffield United, West Ham and an eight goal victory over Sutton United in the fourth round.
In the semi-final at Villa Park the Canaries came undone following a goal by Pat Nevin which was enough to see Everton progress to the final.
• 1992 FA Cup semi-final
The Canaries played Sunderland at Hillsborough in the 1992 semi-final, the first time the venue had been used since the 1989 disaster.
But Norwich were knocked out by Sunderland thanks to a goal by John Byrne, taking the Black Cats to their first final since 1973.
• 1993 UEFA Cup victory over Bayern Munich
In what has been described as 'the pinnacle of Norwich City's history' Mile Walker's team shocked European football giants Bayern Munich when they beat them 2-1 at the Olympic Stadium.
City managed to hold onto a 1-1 draw in the second-leg a Carrow Road, giving them a famous 3-2 win on aggregate. They went on to be defeated by eventual champions Inter Milan in the third round.
