Norwich City Under-23s will face Liverpool in the quarter-final draw of the Premier League Cup at Chester's Deva Stadium on Monday, April 3 (KO 7pm).

The young Canaries discovered their opponents on Tuesday and officials have now confirmed the date and venue. Liverpool have opted to play the tie at the National League outfit despite playing the majority of their U23 games at Prenton Park, the home of Tranmere Rovers.

City qualified for the knockout stages of the competition by finishing second in their group behind Portsmouth, before beating Fulham at Colney in a dramatic encounter last Friday.

That tie finished 5-5 after extra-time, with midfielder Louis McIntosh scoring a hat-trick for the Canaries, before a 3-2 win on penalties.

The clash with the Reds looks set to follow hot on the heels of City's Premier League International Cup semi-final against Sunderland at Carrow Road, a 7pm kick-off on Friday, March 31 with free tickets available for fans.
