Matt Gill hailed his young Canaries after beating SC Paderborn's Under-23s 2-1 to complete a friendly double for the club.
Anthony Spyrou sealed the win at Paderborn's training complex on Sunday morning, after Caleb Richards' cross was turned into the net by a Paderborn defender to open the scoring.
Russell Martin was a familiar face in Gill's line up, but a number of academy prospects have stepped up to form the cornerstone of Gill's squad for the upcoming season.
'We have a young team again this year and there has been lots of information given to them already,' said Gill, with the seniors later edging out SC Paderborn 3-2 in Gutersloh.
'We've worked a lot on tactics during this pre-season so far alongside the physical work and it's been important to mix the two.
'The new lads settled in fantastically well. With the loan business getting done early this year, it allows our group to be a bit more settled.
'I think the group will stick together this year and that will put us in a good position going forward.'

Gill felt his side were full value for the victory.
'It was a good test for them,' Gill told the club's official site. 'Paderborn came out of the blocks quickly and settled better than us, but we had a good team shape out of possession.
'Once the game settled, we tried to keep ball better. The one bit of good play led to our goal after great work down left-hand side.
'Caleb put an excellent ball in and Adam Idah did well to force a mistake from the defender.
'We used the ball a bit better in the second-half and Anthony Spyrou, who came on, gave us a real threat going forward with his power and pace.
'Again, Caleb put in a great cross and Ant finished emphatically so all-in-all, it was a great performance against a competitive team.'
