The only pressure Daniel Farke feels is delivering what Norwich City's fans deserve.

Farke admits the Championship table makes terrible reading after seven games without a win but the head coach is adamant City's fortunes will improve, ahead of Sheffield Wednesday's televised visit.

'I'm desperate to bring success to these players and our supporters. It's what our supporters deserve and what the lads deserve.

'That is the pressure for me. Not from the table,' he said. 'We improved in many topics in the last games, but it's all about results in football. And the only way you get good results is by working hard, and I just have compliments for the lads because they have a brilliant working attitude.

'It is not about being a magician as a coach or a psychologist. It is not about giving them a kick up the backside.

'I was in much more difficult situations, struggling against relegation or the pressure to be promoted.

'We don't like the table at the moment but it is not like we are in the relegation places. In life, not just football, you have setbacks.

'That is time when you go further on, believing in your confidence.

'When Josh (Murphy) is hauled down like against Derby it is normally a red card and penalty, and then we concede two penalties at Cardiff from nothing. You have to stop thinking everything is against us, the referee, the players, the pitch, the weather. That isn't going to help.'

Farke accepts City's frustrated fan base need to see signs of progress.

'The job of a professional coach is always difficult,' he said. 'Take when you have a good run, win some games, and you can celebrate for a moment but then you are thinking about the lads who were not on the pitch and how to deal with them. How to keep the mood and togetherness.

'To be honest it is more difficult on a run like this.

'I can be frustrated about a result or mistakes after the game but you have to be there for the players and show them in a objective way how we can improve.

'We are greedy for this result to turn things around.

'I know as a coach it is important to find this win for the lads, for the togetherness, for the table, for the supporters and the atmosphere around us.

'With each and every bad result it is a test of all those things, including the patience of the supporters.'
