Assist for Tom Trybull's thumping winner. Perfect blend betweeen the two in that central battleground. 7.5

Rasping strike thundered home from 25 yards. Not a bad way to celebrate a new deal. Second half ankle injury exit a concern. 8.0

Cheeky Kevin De Bruyne-inspired low free kick under the Boro wall brushed the side netting. Injury doubt ahead of kick off and made way in the final quarter. 7.0
• Nelson Oliveira
Thwarted twice by Darren Randolph after quick feet inside the penalty area. Still tending to do more work outside the opposition box. 7.0
• Josh Murphy
Injected some much-needed thrust and drive in the second period. Fired wide from the edge of the area. 7.0
City substitutes
• Moritz Leitner 7.0
Masterclass in passing and controlling the tempo in a 30 minute cameo.

With Boro a man light this was Vrancic's game in the second half.
