Paul Lambert could face competition from Burnley to secure the services of goalkeeper Fraser Forster next season. The City boss is eager to bring Forster back to Carrow Road after his heroics last season, when he fell just one game short of Kevin Keelan's 1974-75 record of 19 clean sheets in a single campaign, and he is awaiting a decision from Forster's Newcastle boss Chris Hughton on on the 22-year-old.

But reports in Lancashire claim Burnley boss Brian Laws also wants Forster on a season-long loan as back up. City do have an advantage though, with a number one jersey waiting for Forster, whereas Burnley have cult hero Brian Jensen determined to keep his place.
