Norfolk son Paul Warne is eyeing a pair of Norwich City recruits to help his Rotherham United side make their Championship return a success.
The Millers boss and former Diss and Wroxham striker is understood to have earmarked midfielder Ben Godfrey and centre-back Sean Raggett as loan targets this window, after United joined the Canaries in the second tier following League One play-off final success over Shrewsbury Town at Wembley.
That victory actually came against Godfrey, who spent an impressive campaign on loan at the Shrews.
Whether Rotherham could turn their interest into an actual signing may well depend on how far Godfrey pushes himself into Daniel Farke's first-team thoughts during pre-season – with City well stocked for midfield options and the 20-year-old holding midfielder clearly ready to step up from third-tier action.
However, the possibility of recruiting Raggett could be a much simpler affair for Warne.
The 24-year-old defender spent the first half of last season back in League Two with Lincoln after making a permanent switch to Carrow Road.
And although Raggett got the chance to see what he could do at Norwich come the new year, he struggled to push beyond the primary centre-back options at head coach Farke's disposal – namely Grant Hanley, Timm Klose and Christoph Zimmermann.

All three are likely to remain ahead of Raggett come next season – meaning a full campaign of Championship football elsewhere could be tempting for Farke and City sporting director Stuart Webber.
Peterborough United and a host of League One clubs are also believed to want Raggett, although Rotherham are in prime position to secure his services – should Norwich sanction the deal.
That would be good news for Warne, who is celebrating a new three-year deal with the Millers after earning their immediate Championship return following relegation 12 months earlier.
'All of the staff are equally pleased that we've got the assurance of the new contract because they're people that I have brought in and they've worked really hard for us, so it's pleasing for them too to know that we have the backing of the chairman,' said Warne.
'When myself and (assistant) Richie (Barker) took over, we wanted to leave a legacy and leave the club in better condition than when we got it.
'There were funds available to spend on players last summer but the chairman kindly accepted our suggestion to spend it on developing the training ground, and that will help us again this year and will be an asset for the club going forward.'
