Norwich City's on-loan defender Rhoys Wiggins is targeting a double promotion celebration after Bournemouth cemented their League Two automatic spot over the Easter period.

While the Canaries remained nine points clear at the top after beating Stockport 2-1 on Easter Monday, the Cherries ground out a battling goalless draw at leaders Rotherham to remain in the final automatic berth.

Bournemouth now have a six-point cushion over closest rivals Rotherham in the race for League One after a narrow 1-0 home win against Bradford on Saturday set them up for a successful trip to south Yorkshire. "It was a massive point and it's been a great weekend for us taking four points from six," said Wiggins. "Rotherham have slipped up as well and we'll be looking to take this form in to the next few games to try and get promotion. It was a good game and they made it quite difficult for us up front. They played three up and played quite narrow but I think the lads enjoyed it and showed great determination.

"There will always be pressure from now until the end of the season, but beating Bradford definitely gave us a little leverage to push on into the match. It's a tough place to come but I thought we slowed the game down well and took it to them at times during the second half. I think the lads have individually set targets but as far as we're concerned, we're going into every game to get three points."

Wiggins last week hinted he would consider a permanent summer switch to the south coast with Eddie Howe's men now closing in on third tier football. The former Crystal Palace left back still has one year left on his current Carrow Road deal but admitted he could face a battle to get back into Paul Lambert's long term plans.

"Hopefully, if Eddie wants me at the end of this season, maybe it will happen. I would have to speak to Norwich City in the summer and see what their plans are for me," he said. "I wouldn't like to say it is definitely going to happen because a lot can happen. But I will keep my options open and I wouldn't ever rule it out. Both last year and this year I have got on really well with the players. We have a great team spirit and it has made it easier to settle down. When you're winning it's ten times better."
