Player ratings for both Norwich City and Wolves following their Premier League clash.
• Norwich City
7 John Ruddy: Less hectic shift than in recent games. Foiled Kevin Doyle early on. Commanding presence.
6 Russell Martin: Difficult task trying to subdue Wolves' most creative threat, Matt Jarvis. Fantastic energy to raid forward at will.
6 Elliott Ward: Key role at the heart of a defensive three. One superb piece of anticipation thwarted Roger Johnson.
7 Zak Whitbread: Dominant aerially. Proactive when Wolves pounded Norwich's penalty area late on. Denied an early goal.
6 Simon Lappin: Excellent retrieval work for the penalty award. Undone by Michael Kightly for the opening goal.
7 Elliott Bennett: Probed prominently early on, but also had to track back to double team Jarvis. Mature display.
7 David Fox: Counterweight to the attacking thrusts of Jonny Howson and Wes Hoolahan. Defensively disciplined.
8 Jonny Howson: Carried on where he left off at Newcastle. Demanded the ball first half. Serious goal threat second half. Quality.
8 Wes Hoolahan: Relished a more advanced role in and around Wolves' penalty box. Key part in the penalty. Constant menace.
7 Simeon Jackson: Tireless from the Canadian. Great weight of pass for Grant Holt's first. Huge ovation when subbed.
8 Grant Holt: Sublime first goal. Coolness personified on the penalty but paid for over-eagerness when he cut down Kightly.
Subs: Kyle Naughton (for Lappin) 7, Andrew Surman (for Bennett) 6, Steve Morison (for Jackson) 6
• Wolves
6 Wayne Hennessey 'Done' by Grant Holt for the first goal. Sharp stops from Jonny Howson and Simeon Jackson thereafter.
6 Richard Stearman Dependable. Sporadic threat going forward.
6 Roger Johnson Good battle with Holt. Looked keen to make a point or two after his recent absence.
6 Sebastien Bassong Played Holt onside for the Norwich equaliser. But one fantastic clearing header later denied him a hat-trick.
6 Stephen Ward Wonderful block to frustrate Holt momentarily in the lead up to the penalty. Intriguing tussle with Elliott Bennett.
7 Michael Kightly Carved out the opening goal. Dangerous on set pieces. No change out of Kyle Naughton in the second half.
6 Dave Edwards One early break into the opposition box almost brought a reward. Isolated attacking thrusts.
6 Eggert Jonsson Clear handball for the penalty although Terry Connor had his doubts. Solid if unspectacular shift.
7 Matt Jarvis Constant menace down the Wolves left. Steady stream of crosses. Key to the visitors' best work. Class operator.
6 Kevin Doyle May feel should have scored with unmarked early header. Little else to impress the watching Marco Tardelli.
6 Steven Fletcher Well marshalled by Norwich's back three for the large part. Looked more menacing when Ebanks-Blake introduced.
Subs: Nenad Milijas (for Jonsson) 6, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake (for Doyle) 6, John Gorman (for Kightly) 5
