Norwich City manager Chris Hughton admits his side's barren run in front of goal is 'a concern' but is hopeful his side will get it right when the real action starts next weekend.

City's 2-0 defeat to Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday was the third time in a row Hughton's men have failed to find the net but the boss believes it is only a matter of time before the Canaries find their scoring boots.

'It is always a concern when you are not scoring goals and it is something that we have to address because it is the only way you win football matches,' said Hughton, whose side last celebrated a goal through Anthony Pilkington's free-kick against Ajax last month. 'But that is what this pre-season period is all about. One of the areas we haven't done particularly well is score goals. It's probably just a little bit of confidence in front of goal.

'It is a technical ability to score goals and you either get it right or wrong. The two good chances we created in this game we could put away next week.

'But it is a pre-season period and for as well as you want to do in these games you know you can go from one week to another and if we got those chances again we put those away and that gives everybody a lift.'
