Wolves have lodged an FA appeal to overturn Carl Ikeme's red card in Norwich City's 3-1 Championship win at Carrow Road.
Ikeme was dismissed for violent conduct, after shoving Wes Hoolahan to the ground in an angry reaction to conceding a penalty, when he upended the Republic of Ireland international in the second-half of a fiesty contest.
The experienced keeper took to social media to protest his innocence on Sunday, and accuse the Dubliner of a 'blatant dive' to win the penalty, and now Paul Lambert's club have backed up the stopper.
Wolves confirmed on their social media channels on Monday afternoon they have submitted written and video evidence in support of the appeal which has to be submitted to the FA before 5pm.
Ikeme, as it stands, would serve a three-match ban starting with this weekend's high-profile FA Cup tie at Liverpool.
