John Ruddy bears no ill feeling towards Norwich City following his Carrow Road exit.

The former England keeper was the highest profile casualty of the Canaries' failed Championship promotion bid last season.

Ruddy, along with seven senior players, are free to leave this summer when their contracts officially run out, with new sporting director Stuart Webber looking to overhaul the squad and lower the wage bill.

The 30-year-old enjoyed a fitting farewell after captaining the side to a 4-0 league win over QPR, and Ruddy is already being touted with a Premier League move to West Ham.

'Was I surprised? Yes and no. I think once it was clear promotion was out of sight I think the way the club is re-structuring itself the writing was on the way,' said Ruddy, speaking on Skysports Soccer AM show on Saturday. 'It is football. It is what happens on a yearly basis to players. It is an exciting situation, a unique situation having been the number one for nearly all of the seven years and to finish the season as the number as well. I am excited what the future holds this summer.

'I haven't had offers yet. Obviously the aim would be to go to the Premier League. Every player wants to be there and I am no different. That season doesn't finish until this weekend so until managers have had a chance to really assess their squads then who knows what is going to happen. I'll enjoy some downtime with the family and think about it after that. All the dealings and the conversations will be done by my agent. He'll phone clubs, put feelers out and see who is looking.'
