Former Norwich City midfielder Cedric Anselin has quit his role as a local football manager.
Anselin has left Norwich United “with immediate effect due to personal reasons”.
The 42-year-old Anselin took charge in December 2018 and has engineered an upturn in the club’s fortunes - they were second in the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division when the season was scrapped because of the coronavirus pandemic.
In a message on his personal Twitter account, Anselin said: “Great Group of lads. I will never thank you enough for the memories... I wish you all the very best for the future.”
Attacking midfielder Finlay Barnes also used social media to reveal he would be leaving the club.
“After lots of thought I’ve decided not to resign my contract,” he wrote. “I’ve really enjoyed my season and would like to say thank-you to the players the managers the staff, and course the supporters. Good luck in the future.”
Last week, the Planters lost the league’s leading scorer, Liam Jackson.
