Swardeston continued their defence of the Carter Cup by sealing a place in this year's final with a 201-run win over Great Witchingham.

Jordan Taylor was the star of the show with 131 runs, sharing a third-wicket stand of 132 with Joe Gatting (86) before another partnership of 96 with Peter Lambert (66) as Swardeston reached 371 for nine in their 60 overs.

Witchingham made a steady start until Gatting dismissed James Spelman for 33 and Matt Taylor bowled Sam Arthurton soon after for 44. The Witches stood at 85 for two but only Matthew Long (32) offered much else as they were bowled out for 170, with Matt Taylor and George Walker both taking three wickets.

Swardeston will face Norwich in the final – scheduled to be played at Manor park on Bank Holiday Monday, August 28 – after Will O'Donnell's 126 led the way to a huge 411-8 before Old Buckenham were bowled out for 165, with Ashley Watson taking 4-11.
