Ronnie O'Sullivan closed on a record when he scored three century breaks against Norwich snooker player George Pragnell during qualification for the German Masters.
Pragnell took the first frame against the five-time world champion on Thursday but eventually lost 5-2.
O'Sullivan's consecutive breaks of 117, 106 and 104 brought his career tally of tons to 773, two short of Stephen Hendry's 775 record.
