Norwich City 2nds resumed after their winter break with a 5-0 win over Diss which maintained their seven point lead at the top of the Premier Division,

Playing their first game on their new water-based pitch, City made a nervous start against a Diss team who held them to a draw earlier in the season.

Diss started brightly whilst the home side found their feet on the new surface. But the City defence held firm and eventually opportunities began to come at the other end.

After 20 minutes neat interplay between Annabelle Phoenix and Rebecca Green resulted in the latter opening the floodgates.

Amber Sayers scored the second moments later and City showed no sign of relenting after the interval.

Sarah Shelley scored the third following a penalty corner seconds after the restart and captain Lauren Lawrie deflected in another Shelley strike ito make it 4-0 before Sue Tomlinson's cross led to Caroline Illing tapping in the fifth behind the Diss keeper.

UEA remain City's closest rivals after a 4-2 win over City 3rds, whose goals came from Phoebe Welsh and Alice Hopgood, with the help of a deflection.

Thetford returned with a 2-0 win over Evergreens. Charlie Harwood, Sharon Brimson, Sarah Nichol and Charlotte Bone gave a formidable midfield performance with Harwood scoring the opening goal from a pass from Sophie Kelly.

The second came from another strong ball from midfield to find Sophie Wheeler, who got her stick to it and slid it into goal.

Norwich Dragons 3rds gave the rest of the Division One chasing pack no cause to think they'll get any closer to them in the second half of the season as they maintained their perfect record with a 7-0 win over Dereham 4ths.

Caroline Wolfe (two) and Olivia Thomas gave Dragons a 3-0 interval lead and though both sides showed fatigue in the second half the Dragons' goalkeeper was never required to touch the ball.

Wolfe completed her hat-trick and further goals came from Pollyanna Watson (two) and Amelia Dawson.

Broadland 2nds closed to within a point of second-placed UEA 2nds by beating them 1-0.

Having squandered three chances within seconds of one another Broadland's winner came from Issie London, who finished off some great team play by hammering the ball across the keeper's body into the net.

UEA pushed hard for the equaliser but Broadland sweeper Ruth Aldous was in great form and the Strudents could not get a sight of goal.

Norwich City 5ths came away with a draw in their first meeting with Harleston 5ths.

It looked like they might repeat the result at Weybread when the sides were drawing 2-2 at the interval, Olivia Greenway and Sabina Illing having scored the City goals. But the young Harleston team came out full of energy in the second half and ran away with the game to win 7-2.

Norwich Dragons 4ths maintained their seven point lead at the top of Division Two with a 4-0 win over Norwich City 4ths.

Annika Richardson and Scarlett Brown both turned first half short corners into goals and in the second half Beth Bygrave gave a fantastic performance which was rewarded with a lovely reverse shot that skirted in front of the keeper and crossed the line at the tightest of angles. Megan Harvey completed the scoring.

Closest rivals Harleston 6ths and Sprowston 3rds both won, Magpies 1-0 at Loddon 2nds and Sprowston 4-1 against Lowestoft Railway with goals from Liz Hollis (two), Lotte Stalker and Sharon Weeks.

But fourth placed Norwich City 6ths suffered a 4-1 defeat at home to Herlings on their new pitch, their only goal coming from Jess Harris.

Norwich Dragons 5ths drew 1-1 with Breckland, who went ahead through Jane Sheldrake early in the second half only for Laura Goodbun to cut in from the right to score the equaliser in the dying seconds.
