Sprowston Ladies know that victory this weekend at Wymondham Town Ladies Reserves will secure the Norfolk Women's and Girls League Division One title.

After Bungay Town Ladies completed their campaign last Thursday by dropping points in a 2-2 draw at home to Gorleston Ladies, Sprowston Ladies moved to within a point of the leaders at the weekend courtesy of a 2-0 win at Thorpe United Ladies. Victoria Leyer's double secured the victory, meaning that three more points this weekend would be enough to secure the title.

Bungay will be keeping their fingers crossed that Wymondham Reserves can do them a favour after being held by Gorleston. Teo Ille had equalised after Gorleston had gone in front and they looked set to secure the title when Emily Leach put them in front. However, a long range effort secured a point for Gorleston and put a big dent in Bungay's title hopes.

North Walsham cruised to a 6-1 win over Long Stratton Ladies thanks to goals from Hope Middleton (two), Luci Middleton, Maryanne Hoy, Abbie Storey and Rachel Bussey.
