Richard Bloomfield reached the quarter-final stages at a Futures event in Glasgow this week, but not before he had ousted a particularly famous name in the previous round.
Marko Djokovic, younger brother of world number one Novak Djokovic, was given a real lesson by the Norfolk number one in the second round, as Bloomfield surrendered just one game en route to a straight sets drubbing.
Djokovic junior, who is tipped by many for great things in the game, had no answer to Bloomfield's big hitting and was left dazed and confused on the wrong end of a 6-1, 6-0 hiding.
Bloomfield's run however came to an end at the ends of another famous sibling; Christian Harrison, younger brother of world number 62 Ryan Harrison who coincidentally lost to Novak Djokovic last week in round two of the Australian Open.
The Norfolk man claimed the first set from Harrison before the American turned the tables to win 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.
The event was world number 414 Bloomfield's first Futures tournament of the year after mixed results in British Tour events in January that included a title in Sheffield at the Graves Centre.
