Norfolk’s Katy takes honours

The East Anglian Carriage Driving Group held its end of season Championship Show at Ashfields in Essex on September 17 and 18, with a good turnout in all sections.

The Novice Pony Class was won by Norfolk's Katy Garrett of Forest Edge Arena driving Redaways Lord Thomas with dad Steve grooming on the back. This was a great finish to a successful Outdoor Season for 16-year-old Katy who is set to move onto National Level next year.

Katy's driving is sponsored by Forest Edge Arena, Rands & Wilson Feeds Ltd, Caroline de Wilde Osteopath and Event to Event Photographers. All are a great boost to Katy's success and determination to succeed and to whom she is extremely grateful.

The Indoor Carriage Driving Trials Season starts at Forest Edge Arena on Sunday, October 2 and promises to provide an exciting time for competitors aiming to qualify for the indoor finals in March/April 2012. Spectators and potential new competitors are always welcome. See www.forestedgearena.com for dates and further details of indoor and outdoor carriage driving trials.
