Norfolk paratriathlete Iain Dawson has earned valuable European Championship qualification points after finishing second at the Yokohama ITU World Paratriathlon in Japan.
The 37-year-old, from New Buckenham near Attleborough, finished second in his visually-impaired class with a time of one hour, nine minutes and 10 seconds.
That left the 2016 Paralympics hopeful and his guide, Tri-Anglia club-mate Matt Ellis, over three minutes behind class winner, Great Britain's Dave Ellis, and 15 seconds clear of Spain's Daniel Llambrich Gabriel.
Elsewhere, Iain Robertson, 38, from Trowse, racing for Torq, won the British Sprint Triathlon Championships for his age group at Eton Dorney on Saturday.
Norwich-based triathletes Tony Robinson and Becky Schofield also competed. Robinson, who lives off Earlham Road and competes in the 35-39 age group came fifth and Schofield, from Trowse, came fourth in the 30-34 age category.
