Saxlingham continue to lead the way in the Norfolk League sponsored by Ashburnham Solicitors, as they comfortably beat Narborough.

Craig Beeden’s 119no and Joe Lewis’ 52 and 5-34 helped the leaders comfortably beat their rivals. Jon Coe (71) and Matt Steeles (82) top scored for the hosts.

Castle Rising remain in second place after Darren Clarke and Jahy Chima put on 64 for the last wicket to see them past Reepham’s 158-9, Guavar Aravind taking 5-23 for Rising. St Andrews stay in third as they overwhelmed winless Felthorpe, piling up 327-5 – Craig Wright (102), Louis Bellchamber (80) and Yutharaj Kailainathan (52) the main contributors. Overstrand posted 231-2 thanks to Neil Yarham (98no) and David Yarham (63), but Southwold eased past their target, Gareth Gorst-Allman’s 114 and Aaron Goffin’s 50 spearheading the reply. Caister also won to stay in touch with the leaders.

Mellis head Two West, thanks to Chris Farrant (64), Adam Williamson (92no) and Neil Spence (59) as they beat Beeston by eight runs. Rowan Freake’s 6-33 helped Garboldisham beat Castle Acre, despite Chris Woods’ 4-46. Glen Fossey hit 56no in Gooderstone’s win, while Robert George’s 54 saw Great Ellingham to their first win, edging out Great Melton B by a solitary run. Barry Wells’ 96 ensured that East Harling triumphed over Saham Toney by 11 runs.

Aylsham St Giles maintained their unbeaten record at the head of Two East. Josh Jex (56), Chris Humphries (64) and Zach Humphries (71) starred before Jakir Hussain grabbed 4-6 with the ball. Jordan Barber grabbed 6-12 including a hat-trick as Rollesby were bundled out for 31, chasing a mere 95, Rob Sparkes earlier taking 4-19. Halvergate’s James Howley (76) and Sam Utting (4-19) saw them home against Happisburgh, Richard Voisey scoring 53no for the visitors. Michael Barker’s 56no saw Eaton victorious, while Matt Sole’s 78no and Mark Cockrill’s 5-32 ensured victory for Great Yarmouth.

In the T20 Sam Molyneux smashed 124no for Castle Acre as they beat Swaffham despite Ryan Bradybury’s 63, while Martham cracked 177-2 against Aylsham St Giles thanks to Senthuranathan’s 86 and Greg Evan’s 52. The second phase continues this week as the competition moves towards Finals Day on July 22 at Sprowston.

Sprowston B slipped up at the top of Three East in the Norfolk League as Horsford C won comfortably thanks to Oli Inwards’ 83 and despite Kaushak Trivedi’s 4-35, while second placed Martham were idle.

Hingham also lost their unbeaten record, Malayalees beating them by six wickets thanks to Ajesh Jose’s 55, while Ketteringham Hall stay second and in a promotion place thanks to James Sneddon’s 63.

Over in Three West, Snettisham A head the table, Danny Suckling with 58 and Harry Knott’s 4-31 ensuring the win. Beetley are second, Keith Daykin with 77 ensuring their victory.

Boughton remain unbeaten and head Four West, while Heacham stay in a promotion spot in second, Matt Blake starring with 94 & 4-23. Brooke B are unbeaten in Four East, Jordan Hambling’s 62no seeing them home, while Broadland remain second. Bystanders A head Four South, Andy Kay (58no) and Lewis Wilkins (5-35) leading the way. Colney remain second.

In Four North, Reepham & Salle A go top despite losing as morning leaders Aldborough were without a game.
