Martham have a vice-like grip of top spot in Division One of the Norfolk Cricket League at the halfway point of the season.

Last season's runners-up are now 70 points clear of reigning champions Great Yarmouth at the league's summit, after another commanding victory.

An unbeaten 75 from Jack Whatmough led the way for Martham when they hosted Horsford B on Saturday. The visitors finished on 103-8 and Martham then made quick work of the chase to reach 104 for the loss of just one wicket.

Yarmouth, on the other hand, lost at lowly Cringleford Lodge to concede further ground in the title race. The visitors finished on 117-9 but were unable to halt Cringleford, who reached 118 for the loss of six wickets.

Rollesby surged to a huge 151-run at Happisburgh, with Rob Sprakes starring with seven wickets for the visitors after they had finished on 266-8.

Sprakes conceded just 10 runs on the way to his wicket haul, to help bowl the home side out for 115 and begin some resurgent form for Rollesby after a slow start to the season.
