Ashmanhaugh & Barton Wanderers secured outright victory for the first time in five matches in the Premier Division of the Norfolk Alliance after a star turn with the ball from Scott Hayes.
The north Norfolk side welcomed struggling Lowestoft Town to Barton Turf and decided to put the visitors into bat first.
Hayes then set about ripping the Lowestoft batting order apart and took six wickets for 34 runs in 13 overs to help bowl Lowestoft out for 177, with Daniel Jackson also taking three wickets.
Jack Cassidy (51) and Craig Beeden (50 not out) then both scored half centuries to steer the home side to 178-7 in 49 overs.
Downham Town still look to be in control of the title race, after Adam Todd was their star man for the second week in a row.
Todd and Peter Barnard both took four wickets to restrict Swardeston A to 217-8, with Freddie Ruffel top scoring for the visitors with 83.
Todd then smashed 68 with the bat to steer the league leaders to 219-8 and the win, Rob O'Donnell being the pick of the Swardeston bowlers with 4-49.
Sprowston won their second match of the season and climbed off the bottom of the table when they upset third-placed Old Buckenham.
Will Hampson took 4-31 to help bowl Old Bucks out for 145, with fellow spinner Ethan Leten also taking three wickets.
Rob Purton was then the star batsman for Sprowston, scoring 63 as the home side reached 148-8 to secure the victory, despite slipping from 111-2 as Jon Lee took five wickets for the visitors.
Brooke have closed the gap on leaders Stow in Division One after a three-wicket win at Bradfield.
That follows Stow losing by three wickets at Acle after being bowled out for 232, with Ed Landymore scoring 94. Acle then reached 236-7, led by 89 from Geoff Handley, to take the 25 points.
Brooke are now 24 points adrift of the leaders, thanks to Tom Nudd taking four wickets as Bradfield finished 184-9, with Chris Scannel unbeaten on 81. Rob Panter led the way with 48 for Brooke as they reached 187-7 for the win.
Saham Toney batsman Andrew McGeorge could only watch on in amazement during his side's nine-wicket defeat at Norwich A in Division Two.
McGeorge scored an unbeaten 70 as his team-mates struggled to leave Saham all out for 84.
Norwich A then lost just one wicket as they chased down their target successfully, Tom Goodley leading the way with an unbeaten 60.
Great Witchingham A have taken over at the top of the table after a 15-run win at Hethersett & Tas Valley, to take advantage of Dereham losing by six wickets at home against Swardeston B, with Alex Billham scoring 52 as the visitors reached 141-4.
Steve Goldsmith was a star with bat and ball for Vauxhall Mallards A in Division Three.
Goldsmith scored 75 as Mallards reached 172-7 before taking five wickets to help bowl Narborough out for 164, with Nathan King making 52 during the pursuit.
Thetford remain in control of the title race though, thanks to an eight-wicket win at North Runcton A.
Wes Neave scored an unbeaten 101 for Sheringham in Division Four – but still ended up on the losing side.
The century was part of Sheringham's 175-8 at league leaders' Brooke A, who reached their target with three wickets to spare, with Nishant Murria top scoring with 57.
Richard Porter's unbeaten 106 did not prove in vain for Beccles A in Division Five though. George Sutton had scored 52 as visitors Norwich B were bowled out for 165, before Porter's century led Beccles to 168-2.
That defeat for Norwich allowed Old Catton to extend their lead at the top of the table to 44 points, with Max Rundle scoring an unbeaten 55 on their way to a six-wicket home win against Ashmanhaugh & Barton Wanderers A.
