The Norfolk Adams team finished their season on a low note after a 158-148 (15-7) defeat at Huntingdon.
Nigel Blyth, Ernie Clapham and Brian Sadler settled into their rhythm early and finished winning 31-23. George Gibson, Barry Footer and Danny Cawthorne were also in charge from the start and they also won 31-23. Richard Anderson–Dungar, Phil Glover and Matthew Sparrow scored a six on the 29th end and won 27-26 while Andy Sayer, Roger Greef and Chris Rowe drew 24-24. Unfortunately Kenny Breame's rink lost 17-23 and Paul Webb's 18-29 as Norfolk slipped to defeat.
The Newton team also lost against Huntingdon 183-127 (21-1) – David Smith, David Woods and Steve Thompson drew 24-24 whilst Paul Randell (22-36), John Sparrow (16-28, Errol Feaveryear (22-33), Paul Whymark (21-32), Paul Tree (22-30) also tasted defeat.
On Sunday the county semi-finals were held at Holt and the finals will be played next Sunday at the same venue.
