Organisers have announced that the Larking Gowen City of Norwich Half Marathon has been rescheduled for March 13 following the postponement of November's race due to adverse weather conditions.

Entrants are reminded to retain both their race number and timing chip as these will remain valid and be required for the race in March.

Online entry will re-open on Saturday, December 11, until the new deadline of Saturday, March 5, or the race limit is reached, whichever comes first. This allows a further 250 people who missed the original deadline, or could not make the original date, to take part and raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, the official race charity.

Hugh McGill from organisers the City of Norwich Athletic Club said: 'Snowfall and freezing conditions left us with no alternative but to postpone the race on safety grounds, which we know was a bitter blow to the nearly 3,000 people who had entered. All those involved have been working hard to find another date, now confirmed as March 13, when it will again start and finish at the Norfolk Showground. We will be contacting all those who have entered and they will automatically be transferred to the new race.'
