Mitre edged out Settlement House in the final of the Business Houses Bowls League KO Cup at Blue Boar Lane.
The House took an early lead but Mitre slowly clawed their way back. With both sets of players playing exceptionally well it was a tense finish with the Mitre winning 76-69. Their block of M Bennett, I Steward and R Phillips (23-15) was presented with the president's prize by Lenny Dye.
On the league front, it was better news for the House as they rattled off victories over Costessey Bush 90-63 (D Gardiner, D Howes, G Thrower 29-13), and Coronation 84-67 (J Long, A Mitcham, P Long 27-15).
Anglian Windows took maximum points from bottom club Catton 119-32 (E Wright, J Rowell, B Wright 41-7).
ECOC continue to lead Division Two following their emphatic victory over second placed Sprowston Rec, 95-62 (J Brown, G Skeet, G Woods 24-14) taking maximum points in the process.
