Norfolk professional Andrew Marshall made an excellent start to his first Challenge Tour event of the season yesterday.
Playing in the Kenya Open in Nairobi, the Dereham professional opened up with a three under par round of 68 to stand in a tie for fourth place.
He is three adrift of early pacesetter Jake Roos of South African, with Andreas Hogberg (66) and Callum Macaulay (67) the only other two players above him.
Marshall recorded four birdies and just one bogey on the rain sodden course in his first taste of high level competitive action since playing in the European Tour's Joburg Open in mid January.
