Rob Lyon is convinced his King's Lynn Stars team can turn their narrow defeats into points, starting tonight with their meeting at Swindon Robins.

Lynn endured a miserable Easter as they lost both of their home and away ties against rivals Peterborough Panthers to make it three defeats from four Elite League fixtures.

However, despite failing to pick up any losing points from their Good Friday double-header, the Stars boss insists his side are not far away from turning their performances into results.

Lyon said: 'We came so near but so far in both meetings to getting points. We nearly had one in the bag away but things conspired to go against us in heat 14 and 15.

'We've scored 41 points on the road twice now so we're not that far away. It was a frustrating day because their reserve (Michael Jepsen Jensen) scored for fun and it made up for their problems elsewhere.

'However, I've seen enough in our team to suggest to me that if we find that consistency a bit more now we've beefed up at the bottom - which should make a difference - that we can start getting more points away be it through defeats of six-points or less or victories.'

Filip Sitera - who has endured a torrid start to the season - has been replaced as the Stars look to pick up points against an in-form Swindon side who have beaten Birmingham Brummies twice.

Michael Palm Toft returns to tonight's line-up before Dakota North and Jordan Frampton make their debuts on Friday when the Norfolk Arena outfit travel to Coventry Bees.

Frampton steps in for red-hot David Howe at number four while Kevin Wolbert's new average means he moves down to reserve against the Bees.

Lyon said: 'It was up to Filip to show us he was worthy of his position and that he was willing to fight for it.

'He's been very much down on last year and that's a shame as he's a nice kid. I don't understand what's going on with him at the moment. He needs to re-group, go home and get himself and his speedway sorted out, kick-on on the Continent and get some points under his belt. If he does well he might be back in England again - you never say never.

'Swindon have had a decent start but it's not been exceptional because they dropped a point at home to Birmingham. They've put themselves a good team together but there's a long way to go as to whether they'll be play-off contenders. If Birmingham can get a point there there's no reason we can't either.

'We're looking to get points out of both meetings. We've done well at Coventry and we've got a good chance of getting something there and at Swindon but it's all about finding that extra consistency.'
