Northampton Town await in the first round of the FA Youth Cup for King's Lynn Town Under-18s, following a 2-0 victory over Dereham in the final qualifying round.
Over 300 fans saw the young Linnets progress at The Walks on Wednesday evening, setting up an away tie against the youngsters of League Two club Northampton.
Lynn took the lead just before the hour mark through a fine individual effort from striker Jake Smith, starting his run from just inside the Dereham half. Around 10 minutes later Smith made sure of the win, racing on to a long clearance and beating the Dereham keeper to roll into an empty net.
The date for the Northampton clash is yet to be set but must be played by Saturday, November 3, with the tie set to be contested at the Cobblers' Sixfields Stadium, which has a capacity just short of 8,000.
Wroxham U18s missed out on a trip to Cambridge United in the first round when they were beaten 11-1 at AFC Sudbury on Tuesday.
