Swardeston and Vauxhall Mallards remain on course to meet for the third consecutive time in the Carter Cup final after avoiding each other in the semi-final draw. Five-time winners Swardeston, who play in the Gibbs Denley East Anglian Premier League, will be at home to Lovewell Blake Norfolk Alliance Division One side Diss. And fellow EAPL side Mallards, who have won the trophy eight times, will host Alliance Division Two Bradenham, who caused one of the competition's biggest ever upsets by beating Norwich in the quarter-finals. Mallards won a thrilling final last year in a game reduced to 20 overs per side because of rain, while Swardeston triumphed in 2005. In the Lady Mary Trophy, the winners of tomorrow's rearranged tie between Old Buckenham and Great Witchingham will be at home to Great Melton, and Brooke host Bradfield. Carter Cup semi-final draw: Swardeston v Diss, Vauxhall Mallards v Bradenham. Lady Mary Trophy: Brooke v Bradfield, Old Buckenham or Great Witchingham v Diss. Ties to be played on Sunday, July 17.
