Lowestoft Town defender Curtis Haynes-Brown is undergoing a trial at League Two club Crewe Alexandra.
The 22-year-old, who signed from Sudbury last summer, was one of the Blues outstanding performers during their Ryman League Premier campaign last season and Crewe boss Dario Gradi is keen to take a closer look.
Haynes-Brown is likely to play in one of club's pre-season friendlies at Congleton and Rhyl alongside a number of other trialists including former Leeds United goalkeeper Alan Martin.
'We've got a keeper, a full-back and a centre-half, and there are also a couple of lads who have been recommended to us by our former midfielder Steve Walters,' said Gradi.
'The more experienced boys will be challenging for the first team, but they'll play on Monday when we'll split the squad up for the games at Rhyl and Congleton.'
