Lowestoft Town boss Ady Gallagher has warned his squad that no-one is safe after seeing the Blues tumble out of the FA Cup at home to Harlow Town.

The Trawlerboys went down to defeat against the Essex side despite the visitors playing for more than an hour with 10 men.

Gallagher admitted he is ready to shake things up at the club if players don't start to show signs of improvement immediately.

'No-one is safe in the squad – every single player in the squad needs to look at themselves,' said the Blues chief.

'I'm going to be looking to strengthen the squad and with finances the way they are that means that some players might have to leave.

'They are playing for their immediate futures with Lowestoft. We need more from people - we've been very close in games but we are falling short.

'There's a certain degree of tolerance that it's a new squad but I think it's time that the players started performing at a higher level.'

Gallagher rung the changes over the summer and has given his squad some leeway as he looks to establish a settled side.

However, after only two wins in the league so far this season the Blues chief is wary of being dragged into trouble at the foot of the table.

'We've had a tough start to the season if you look at the sides we've played and where they are in the league,' he added. 'But I'm sick of hearing excuses, I'm sick of hearing people whinging - they need to start winning.

'We know then that if a team is successful then it leads to a happier dressing room.'

Lowestoft travel to Staines tomorrow and Gallagher admitted there will be changes.

'I've been very loyal to some players - I want to trust and believe in them.

'But it gets to the point where you have to count up what they are delivering. I don't think anyone is playing particularly poorly but I don't think anyone is pulling up any trees either.

'There's scope for everyone to up their game.'

Andrew Fisk is in contention to play some part this afternoon whilst Jake Reed is also expected to figure despite nursing a heel problem that forced him off in the recent victory over Needham Market.
