Lowestoft Town announced themselves firmly back in the Ryman League Premier title race by running riot against Hendon at Crown Meadow on Saturday.

Matt Nolan was the star of the show for the Trawlerboys as he weighed in with a brace and his partnership with Michael Frew up front looks like rediscovering the potency it established in their days together at King's Lynn.

Frew got the ball rolling with a tap-in after good work by Scott Mitchell before Nolan doubled the Blues advantage with a close range header.

Joe Francis made it 3-0 when he ghosted past a defender before coolly slotting home and Nolan put the match beyond Hendon before the break with another predator's strike.

Less than a minute into the second half Scott Mitchell made it 5-0 with a smart strike from the corner of the penalty area before Hendon pulled one back through the lively Belal Aite-Ouakrim.

But Lowestoft weren't finished and less than two minutes after coming on as a substitute Russell Stock struck.

Jamie Godbold completed the scoring late on when he jinked in from the left and fired home via the aid of a deflection.
