A trip to Brentwood for North Walsham will mean a return to league action in London 1N for at least half the Vikings squad.

The Norfolk Senior Cup semi-final 45-14 win against Beccles last week was an opportunity for Nick Greenhall to rest some players and also to blood some of the youngsters but this week he will revert to the norm.

Although neither side is in either the promotion or relegation arena they will both be looking to finish as high up the table as possible.

The Essex side sit two places above the Vikings with identical win-loss records but having accrued 11 bonus points to Walsham's seven, Brentwood are sitting on a four-point advantage.

Brentwood have had a consistent season from day one with pretty solid home form, losing just three times in front of their own supporters and have so far not lost on consecutive weekends.

Greenhall is likely to stick as closely as possible to the side that beat Colchester 17-3 at Scottow a fortnight ago. The only enforced change is likely to be at scrum-half following the departure of Henry Dewing. Having trained earlier in the week and tested his hand injury Dean Blyth is the obvious candidate, which would allow last week's stand in Shane van Vuuren to revert to the wing.

With Will Quinn taking a break young Cutu Serruys will fill the other wing berth. Chris Borrett played another full 80 minutes last week and depending on his ability to travel will take the No10 shirt.

Hooker Mark McCall picked up a leg injury in the Beccles game and sat out the final quarter but that was probably precautionary.

On the positive side the versatile Matt Oakes returned last week and will have no problem slotting in at hooker if needed but is more likely to go to No8 filling the hole left by the departure of Tom Williams.

Having cast his eye over some of the less experienced youngsters last week Greenhall could give a slot on the bench to Dan Laddiman who can play either front or back row.

n Diss will be looking to build on their Norfolk Senior Cup semi-final win at Norwich when they return to league action at Woodford.

The 27-24 win will give Diss hope of ending a run of four straight defeats in London 1N, as they look to increase the seven-point gap to bottom side Old Haberdashers.
