Loddon finished their season with a well deserved 2-1 win away from home at Norwich City XI

They started well and even with a player short, had control of the midfield. The team, having played together for the year, passed well and denied Norwich any possession for the first 10 minutes.

But as Loddon pressed forward they left gaps in the centre, which allowed Norwich back into the game. The first half remained level but Loddon looked the better team.

The second half saw Loddon score early when Charlotte Harvey met a cross and swept high into the net. Loddon eased off for a while and Norwich pressed forward. The defence coped well until a weak shot went under the unsighted keeper.

Loddon tightened their formation and pressed forward again. The eventual winner came five minutes from time by Liz Skinner.

Loddon kept looking for another and came close but the whistle went leaving Loddon securely in the middle of the table but believing they could beat anyone on their day.
