Lowestoft and Yarmouth face Newmarket this Saturday after two weeks without a fixture due to the weather conditions.

Newmarket, currently top of the table, will be favourites going into this fixture. Lowestoft and Yarmouth will be looking to stay with the pacesetters and with two important fixtures before Christmas will want maximum points from both to really pressure the leaders.

Lowestoft and Yarmouth make one forced change from the squad that was due to travel to Mersea last weekend with Kris Nelson unavailable after picking up a shoulder injury. This gives strong running winger Josh Fewkes an opportunity to impress at inside centre. His vacant wing spot will give Tom Dare his first-team home debut.

Director of rugby Scott Nelson said: 'Historically Lowestoft and Yarmouth tend to struggle over the Christmas period, but with our improved fitness this season and the attitude being shown from the lads in training I hope we can come through the festive period still pushing.'
