King's Lynn Town manager Gary Setchell is urging his side to end the season with a flourish – beginning with the visit of Barwell to The Walks this afternoon (3pm).

A brace of Lee Stevenson penalties and a poacher's goal from Peter Winn gave Town a comfortable victory at Shawe View on Saturday – a result which almost certainly confirmed the hosts' relegation and the Linnets' participation in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division for another season.

Lynn manager Gary Setchell said: 'I am very pleased with most of our performance today and now my challenge to the players is continue with this form for the remainder of the season.

'For the first 25 minutes we have played probably some of our best football this season. We were on the front foot, took the game to them creating many chances and taking two of them.

'We have four games to go and I want to win all four starting with Barwell.

'Stevo (Stevenson) and Peter have been outstanding today. Lee has linked well with David Bell to control midfield and Peter has worked his socks off in the centre of the park.

'I now have a nice problem with Dan Quigley and Michael Frew returning (following suspension) and hopefully Ross Watson back with us (family reasons).

'The aim now is to finish as high as we can in the league and give ourselves some confidence going forward.'

Town took the lead midway through the first half when David Bridges was pushed to the ground in the box, giving Stevenson the chance to duly blast the ball past Tom Read from the spot.

Stevenson then turned provider for Winn who tapped home from close range to double his side's advantage just before the break.

Trafford enjoyed a better second-half spell with Jackson Ramm striking his own post with a header and Alex Street blocking Rob Black's follow up.

The Linnets finally put the game to bed with 18 minutes remaining with Stevenson again comfortably beating Read from the spot as this time Jacek Zielonka was pushed over in the area meaning John Pritchard's late strike was merely a consolation for the home side.
