Gary Setchell insists King's Lynn Town can simply not afford to suffer an FA Trophy hangover.

The Linnets' brave run in this season's competition came to an end on Saturday after a 2-0 defeat to Blue Square Premier Southport.

But with three leagues games in a week, starting with Saturday's home clash against Kidsgrove Athletic (weather permitting), coming up, Setchell believes Lynn must bounce back from their weekend loss immediately.

The Lynn boss, who this week has been hit with a two-game touchline ban by the FA for improper conduct during his side's Trophy game against AFC Telford United last year, said: 'We're disappointed we're out of the Trophy but there's no time to feel sorry for ourselves.

'We've got Kidsgrove, go to Romulus on Monday and then have what people will call a massive game at Coalville. In the space of seven days we've got three huge games. They will have a reflection on what we're trying to achieve.

'If we win all three we're bang in the title race. If we lose all three we're fighting for a play-off spot. We've got ourselves in an exceptional position and it's important we stay focused and stick together.'

Setchell will be able to take his place in the dugout for the trio of important matches before his suspension starts on January 28.

He is set to be in the stands for Evo-Stik Division One South matches against Northwich Victoria, away, and Rainworth Miners Welfare at home.

The Lynn boss' suspension comes after he accepted the charge for his actions towards the fourth official at The Walks on December 15.

He said: 'It was after Spriggs' second. I tried to get a sub on to kill a bit of time and was shouting at the linesman. I was told by the fourth official I had to go through him first, which is not usual practice. I got a bit excited at him. It was something and nothing and I apologised.

'The fourth official didn't include it in his report as far as I'm aware. An assessor who was at the game did. I pleaded guilty because I expected a warning, not a fine and a ban. But it's not the end of the world.'
