King's Lynn Stars are delighted to announce that Norfolk-based training specialists Poultec will continue to support the Elite League team in 2014.

Poultec Training Limited, a work-based training provider specialising in the delivery of Apprenticeships and short courses, have been associated with the club for over 10 years.

The new-look side of Niels-Kristian Iversen, Kenneth Bjerre, Rory Schlein, Nicklas Porsing, Robert Lambert, Lewis Kerr and Lewis Rose will all proudly display the Poultec and Apprenticeships logo on their race suits throughout the forthcoming campaign.

King's Lynn promoter Keith Chapman was delighted with the deal and commented: 'Poultec have been with us for many years and I am pleased that they will continue to support the team in 2014. Edward and his team are a pleasure to work with and we look forward to continuing our partnership this season.

'I would personally like to thank Poultec for the support and commitment they have shown as we now enter our fourth season back in the Elite League.'

Poultec managing director Edward Bales added: 'We are really happy to continue our association with the Stars and look forward to a successful Elite League season. The team that Keith Chapman and Rob Lyon have built looks strong and has a great mix of experienced and rising stars.

'As a leading Apprenticeship provider, we can see the benefit of bringing young riders from the lower leagues and giving them the chance to develop in the Elite League. Development is something we feel very strongly about here at Poultec.'

Sited in South Green Park, Mattishall, Poultec has become well established as a leading training provider in a number of sectors including retail and customer service, hospitality and catering, business administration, management, maths and english skills, information technology and butchery.

Poultec have also been offering a range of Apprenticeship programmes for around 15 years. These programmes are an excellent way to develop people of all age groups and give them the foundations to move on up in industry to create a successful career. Apprenticeships provide an alternative to more traditional classroom based education, giving young people a nationally recognised qualification and hands-on skills and experience, while earning a wage.

- In other news, King's Lynn Young Stars manager Dale Allitt has added experienced racer James Cockle to his side for speedway's return this year.

Cockle was part of the Young Stars team last year after coming into the side at late notice. However, an arm injury sustained while racing against Coventry Storm in May forced him to miss the rest of the season.

Allitt commented on the signing: 'It was unfortunate how James ended last season, especially as he only just joined the team. He has shown in the past that he is capable of being a top rider and I feel that his best is yet to come.

'He brings a lot of experience to our side this year and I think he could become a strong heat leader for us. James has worked hard over the winter on his fitness and has invested in new equipment.'

Cockle, who returns on a 6.24 average, will join Lewis Rose, Darren Mallett, Darryl Ritchings, Scott Campos and Josh Bailey at the Norfolk Arena next year.
