On Saturday, Cromer Tennis Club plays host to the finals day of its annual tennis tournament.

Played over three weeks, this year's event attracted an excellent entry. The tournament has so far been notable for the emergence of the juniors in the senior section of the event. Ross Murray and Freyja Gosling-Belfield in particular have shown real promise for the future, while John Carrier gave top seed Adam Smith a scare in an early round of the men's singles. Match of the tournament so far has been the titanic doubles battle between club stalwarts Russon and Little and Jackson and the big-hitting Murray. With a high standard of tennis throughout, the slightly younger legs of Jackson and Murray eventually came through in a third set tie-break.

The junior section of the event is also taking place on finals day, with children ranging from under 10s to 16-year-olds. For further details contact 01263 513741.
