Tonight sees the first of the Norfolk County FA Cup Finals with Clenchwarton taking on Dereham Town Youth at Clipbush Park, home of Fakenham Town in the John Savage Cup Final (7pm kick off).

Clenchwarton, managed by John Stocker, earned their place in the final by defeating Thorpe Rovers Youth 2-0 in the semi finals.

Stocker described that as the'stand out moment' of their cup run – but is hoping to top it tonight.

The Mid Norfolk Youth League side are looking to secure the treble on Friday, having already won the league with a perfect record and having won the league cup against Swaffham Town on penalties last Friday evening.

The players have an added incentive as they will be looking to go one better than their last County Cup final appearance when they were defeated by Thorpe Rovers Youth in the final of the Norfolk Minor Cup two seasons ago.

Dereham Town Youth reached the final by beating Great Yarmouth Town in the semis thanks to a fantastic left footed effort which nestled in the top corner of the net in the dying moments of the games.

Manager David Hook feels his side are strong enough to lift the trophy but admits: 'To win this match it will take a complete team effort.'

Between them, the two sides have managed 34 goals and have kept six clean sheets en route to the final so it is a difficult game to call but promises to be an exciting one!

Admission for the game is 2 for adults and 1 for Over-65s and Under-16s. A special County Cup Final offer allows a maximum of two Under-12s to gain free entry when accompanied by a full paying adult.
