Norfolk had some promising results in the national Inter County Cross Country Championships at Loughborough.
The top individual performance came from Abigail Durrand who finished sixth in the under 15 girls 4km race. She was ably backed up by Kate Willis (18th position), Madeline Short (68th) and Eliska Watling (81st) to help the team to an excellent sixth place. There was another fine performance from Sarah Astin, who finished eighth in a high calibre senior women's 8km race. She was backed up by Mabel Beckett (43rd), Colleen Mukuya (48th) and Jo Andrews (50th) for Norfolk to finish in 10th place.
The under 17 boys also finished in 10th place in the 6km race with Will Mahoney 37th, Jack White 39th, Tom Greenacre 67th and Tom Mead 81st. In the under 13 girls race Hattie Reynolds was 45th and in the under 20 women's 6km race Milie Solway finished 38th.
The Norfolk men's team finished 25th in the very competitive 12km race.
