It's been all change at King's Lynn since I've been injured with two new riders joining our side.

Andrej Ledebev replaced David Howe at reserve last week and he's a rider who has been going really well in Poland. He did well on his debut for us at Coventry (47-43 loss) and picked up a race win which is good. From what I know, which is even more impressive, he has been riding on Sergey Darkin's old bikes so he's not on the best equipment. It makes it really promising for when he gets settled in England and racing on his own equipment.

David's left to concentrate on the Premier League and he's definitely a very well-liked guy. He came in when Nicolai Klindt was struggling – and he still is – so it wasn't a bad move. He hasn't been in the form he was but his arrival provided the springboard to bring another rider in.

I'm sure he'll get back to best his best now he can concentrate on his PL and Long-track World Championship commitments.

Last week I learned Nicklas Porsing had been brought into the side for me. I'll admit it's never nice to be replaced and I had hoped we could carry on operating rider/replacement so I knew my spot was safe for when I'm fit again. But I texted Rob (Lyon, team boss) and asked if it was a temporary move until I was ready to ride again. He said it 100pc was, so I'm pleased.

I'm hoping to start riding again for my Swedish team in July. So I've been filling my time by doing some TV work and have commentated on two Danish League meetings and on Saturday's World Pairs Championship which was screened on Eurosport.

It was hard at first as we were delayed because of the tennis and my first head set didn't work. But I really enjoyed it, even if it was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I couldn't go slagging off anyone I've got sour grapes with! Once I'm racing again I'd like to do some more bits for TV.

However, once I've retired I really want to work with youngsters and set up training schools. I want to make it easier for the next generation to learn than how we had it when we started riding. But it's about getting the riders to take up the sport.
